08/24/14 Celebrate - Part II

Today I continue with the theme of - Let Your Light Shine. However, I'm going to speak further about Letting Our Light Shine through our Celebrations. Last week I spoke to you about celebrating, and that celebrating is important. It was important to God to give us festivals. God's festivals are not like today’s festivals that start at nine and end at two. No, God knows how to throw a party! – Pastor Dale

08/17/14 Let Your Light Shine - Celebrate

The theme of Let Your Light Shine continues this week by way of discussing our celebrations. Celebrating is one of those things that people need, why? Celebrating keeps us focused on what’s important. All throughout the Bible, God has given us celebrations. In Deuteronomy 16 He lays out three festivals for the children of Israel.

  1. The Festival of Passover
  2. The Festival of Weeks
  3. The Festival of Booths

Why did God give us celebrations? To help us remember what He's doing in our lives and to attach us to life. – Pastor Dale

08/10/14 Let Your Light Shine -The Gospel H.I.S.T.O.R.Y.

We live in a world where earthly kingdoms rise and fall. The gospel, defined according to Scripture, means Good News, although that definition depends upon the side in which you choose to stand.

Regardless of the personal profile that you've collected on Jesus, He never promised us a rose garden here on Earth. However He did say; "…I did not come to bring peace but a sword." Matthew 10:34 (NKJV)

A sword divides, something that we have seen all too clearly the last few days in the news. It's hard to wrap our minds around the concept of people outright killing another human, for simply confessing to be a Christian. Jesus did, however warn us of this, We are witnesses to the fulfillment of prophesys clearly stated in Matthew 24.

All because of the Gospel.

In this message, we look at the gospel using the acronym of H.I.S.T.O.R.Y. – Pastor Dale

8/3/14: Let Your Light Shine - Be Accountable

For the last few Sundays, we've been studying letting our light shine and all that it encompasses. The word let implies you and I have a choice. This week's sermon falls directly in line with that principle- from the aspect of accountability. In a day where many do not like to be held accountable to anything, it’s important for us to realize as Christians that God holds us accountable. – Pastor Dale
